ASMi-52
SHDSL Ethernet Modem and Mux
|
The ASMi-52 SHDSL modem and
multiplexer transmits two combined data streams –
E1, Ethernet or serial –on an SHDSL link at various data rates
over a range up to 10 km (6.2 miles). The modem also supports T1
applications. Incorporating TC-PAM technology for extending the
transmission range, the ASMi-52 SHDSL modem enables carriers to
cost-effectively reach more users with copper lines at higher
data rates over larger distances in the Last Mile. The ASMi-52
SHDSL modem and mux answers the data transmission and Ethernet
extension needs of enterprise users. Typical users include
municipalities, utilities, corporate connectivity, and cellular
backhaul.

ASMi-52L
SHDSL Ethernet Modem
|
The ASMi-52L SHDSL
Ethernet modem transmits serial, Ethernet or E1 data streams on
an SHDSL link at various data rates over a range up to 10 km
(6.2 miles). Using TC-PAM technology for extending transmission
range, the ASMi-52L SHDSL Ethernet modem enables carriers to
cost-effectively reach more users with copper lines at higher
data rates over larger distances in the Last Mile. The attractively priced
ASMi-52L SHDSL Ethernet modem is optimized for applications that
require only a single V.35, X.21, E1 or Ethernet user port but
also features a version with a built-in 10/100BaseT switch with
up to four Ethernet ports and transparent VLAN support. Typical
applications include cost-effective extension of Ethernet, E1
and serial data for municipalities, utilities, corporate
connectivity, and cellular backhaul.

ASMi-31
Sync/Async IDSL Modem
|
RAD's ASMi-31 sync/async IDSL
modem is a 2-wire high speed, fully manageable short-range modem
able to operate synchronously or asynchronously (full duplex)
over a single twisted pair. ASMi-31 sync/async manageable IDSL
modem’s operating range, more than four miles, is independent of
the user-selected transmission rate. A wide variety of data
interfaces are supported. The ASMi-31 sync/async IDSL modem is
based on 2B1Q technology, enabling efficient transmission even
over poor quality lines. Management, real-time alarms and
diagnostics are provided.

ASM-60
4-Wire Symmetrical VDSL Modem
|
RAD’s ASM-60 4-wire
symmetrical VDSL modem provides full duplex transmission of 10
Mbps Ethernet traffic over four-wire copper cable for distances
of up to two kilometers (1.2 miles). The extended distance
provided eliminates the need for fiber in the Local Loop or in
the campus environment. The ASM-60 4-wire symmetrical VDSL modem
employs VDSL QAM line coding, thereby utilizing the bandwidth
effectively. The unit is fully interoperable with third-party
equipment. No configuration is needed when installing. Two
versions are available: one that sits at the central office and
a second version that sits at the customer site.

S-RPT
SHDSL or SHDSL.bis Repeater
|
RAD’s S-RPT SHDSL or
SHDSL.bis repeater extends the transmission distance of SHDSL or
SHDSL.bis modems operating on 2-wire lines. Employing TC-PAM16
technology, the S-RPT SHDSL or SHDSL.bis repeater can double
transmission distances. Typical applications
include DSL links alongside highways, railways, pipelines, power
lines, and waterways as well as DSL transport to remote
concentrators in rural or remote areas, and communication lines
to military, construction or temporary field camps and sites. Installed between two
SHDSL modems, the S-RPT SHDSL or SHDSL.bis repeater fully
regenerates the received modem signal. Multiple repeaters can be
used, without introducing jitter or wander problems. |
